STANDARD 12
STANDARD 12 Professional staff members implement curriculum and instruction that are aligned for relevancy, inclusion, and effectiveness.
Use a Comparative Unit Calendar to review horizontal and vertical alignment of content of units and courses. This report shows the Unit Calendar by Year of multiple courses on one color-coded calendar. This provides an at-a-glance preview of the units being taught during a specific time period across multiple courses. Users can also select individual units across courses from this calendar to view all of their contents, side-by-side.
Use a Scope and Sequence Report to isolate a single category of your unit to review over a single or multiple courses. This report shows a single category of a unit template across multiple units and courses. In the example below, the report is showing the Key Concepts/Content for all of the units in Math 4, Math 5, and Math 6, size-by-side.
Showcase your unit template to demonstrate the level of relevancy, inclusion, and effectiveness in your curriculum. Consider the different fields you could integrate into your unit template that would provide evidence of these in your curriculum.
Use a Standards Overview to track the alignment of standards from course to course. This report lists all of the standards in a single set, across as many grade/benchmark levels as selected, and notes how many times the standard has been targeted in a unit, assessment, or lesson. This report also shows icons to represent standards that have been flagged using Standards Status Management or prioritized with the Standards Editing Tool.
Use a Standards Analysis to dive deeper into standard alignment across a course(s). This report offers a wealth of information, including information about how many of which standards have been targeted and assessed, at all levels from whole-school to individual teacher.
STANDARD 14
STANDARD 14 Curriculum and instruction are augmented by reliable information resources and materials that advance learning and support learners’ personal interests.
Use a Scope and Sequence Report to generate lists of the supplemental resources included in each unit. This report allows you to select one field of your unit, and see this across all units in one or more courses. Consider generating several of these reports, sorting by grade level or subject area.
STANDARD 16
STANDARD 16 Learners experience curriculum and instruction that emphasize the value of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and abilities.
Consider how you can integrate evidence and indicators of your emphasis on the value of diverse culture, backgrounds, and abilities into your unit template. In the example below, there is a field labeled “Culturally Responsive Instruction (CRI)” where teachers can record strategies to meet this standard.
STANDARD 30
STANDARD 30 Learners’ progress is measured through a balanced system that includes assessment both for learning and of learning.

Use a Standards Analysis Report to explore even more information about your standards and assessment alignment. This report shows how many of which standards have been targeted and assessed, at all levels from whole-school to individual teacher.
